BNCR Agencia San Rafael
A full upgrade of an existing Banco Nacional de Costa Rica branch, aligning the facility with the bank’s current corporate image and service standards.

The intervention establishes a clear hierarchy from the street: a white volume crowned by the institutional blue signage band, a louvered second floor for solar control, and a fully glazed ground floor that opens the banking hall to the sidewalk. A chamfered glass corner marks the entrance, anchored by a single round column and a continuous white steel canopy that wraps the perimeter—sheltering the entry, ATM lobby, and accessible approach.
Technical upgrades address tropical performance and inclusion: aluminum louvers shade the upper floor while preserving daylight, the curtain wall brings natural light into the service area, and exterior circulation meets current accessibility standards.
The result is a compact, legible branch that projects the institution’s identity while delivering a more open and welcoming customer environment.
