This is a 18 month design research in partnership with the Professional Studio of the School of Architecture from the Universidad de Costa Rica

The CFIA launched today, in the last day of it’s XIV Congress, the Monograph of Arch. Franz Beer Chaverri. The book showcases the profesional, academic and artistic career of ICESA’s president Franz Beer Chaverri. The book is authored by Juan Carlos Sanabria, Zuhra Sasa, Ana Grettel Molina and includes our Director Sebastián Alfaro-Fuscaldo, reflecting of the contemporary architecture concepts and it’s evolution through time.
The Costa Rican First Lady, Arch. Claudia Dobles Camagro, highlighted at the books presentation the influence and importance of Franz Beer’s legacy in the Costa Rican contemporary architecture.
ICESA’s design for a new mixed use building in Heredia, Costa Rica has been awarded the first prize in ASOUNA’s Design Competition. The building will include retail space, health services, offices and a Gym with views toward Heredia’s mountain. The project is being planned to win top Green Building certifications
ICESA’s proposal for the new offices of the Costa Rican Consejo Nacional de Seguridad Vial has won the Design Competition. The proposal creates a contemporary and relaxing working environment within the Torres River bank. It is envisioned as a highly efficient and sustainable new architecture in San José.
