Casa Guanacaste
This modern Costa Rican house was develop for Venado Hills in Portegolpe, Tempate, Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, 8km east from Playa Grande.
The architecture is formed by two clear and linear buildings connected by a colonnade. The entrance is celebrated by a sculpture reflected on a water pond. In between the buildings there is a squared plaza that contrast the surrounded vegetation and topography.
Each building consists of two envelopes, an exterior one in exposed white concrete, and a protected one in wood.
A repetition of roofs with a pyramid shape gives rhythm and volume to each space of this house.
