BNCR - Agencia de Heredia
Located in Barrio Los Ángeles in the historic center of Heredia, the project is a comprehensive renovation of an existing three-story branch on the corner of Calle 6 and Avenida 6, directly facing Parque Juan José Flores. The intervention upgrades the building’s functional, accessibility, and image standards, aligning it with BNCR’s current corporate identity while respecting its position within a sensitive urban and civic context.

Internally, the branch is reorganized around a generous double-height atrium that anchors the customer experience. A glass-enclosed elevator and an open feature stair — both detailed with glass balustrades and stainless-steel handrails — establish vertical circulation as a clear architectural gesture, visible from the moment of arrival. A restrained palette of large-format dark floor tile, white walls, and suspended dark ceilings with integrated LED fixtures provides a calm, professional environment for the banking hall, waiting area, and mezzanine offices above, while accessibility upgrades — including the elevator and tactile guidance at the landings — bring the building fully up to current standards.
